UNISECON was born in New York but draws its soul from the Han‑Chinese tradition of “Bai Jia Yi”—a patchwork robe lovingly stitched from scraps donated by relatives and neighbors to bless a newborn. Each small piece of fabric embodies a family’s goodwill, and the finished garment becomes a talisman to protect the child and celebrate community.
We reimagine this custom by weaving heritage and memory into modern clothing. In our atelier, organic cotton, linen and recycled fabrics are hand‑pleated, woven and patched into unique pieces. Every texture and layer honors ancient techniques while transforming surplus textiles into wearable art. Because we produce in small batches, no two garments are alike—this sense of scarcity and exclusivity resonates with visitors and invites them to secure their own piece of history.
Our founder, Nina Jiang, refined her craft at avant‑garde fashion houses before launching UNISECON. She distils meticulous craftsmanship and cultural motifs into designs that are practical, poetic and deeply personal. Believing that fashion is a bridge between people and cultures, Nina partners with independent ateliers and artisans in China to sustain traditional craft and ensure fair, thoughtful production.
Our boutique at 35 Orchard Street in Manhattan’s Lower East Side is more than a retail space—it’s a living gallery where you can touch our fabrics, feel our artisanal works and discover pieces found nowhere else. We invite you to step into our world, whether online or in person, and let these garments connect you to stories, blessings and a sense of community that transcends time and place.
